Hotel Motel La Vigie - Matane

We like to stay at Hotel Motel La Vigie every time we visit Matane. the staff at the reception desk is incredibly kind. - the location is great and unbeatable, only 3 km from Doris Gardens. - It is really close to the industrial port and the Marina.

Closeness to ferry, willingness to accomodate requestsgood attitude overall we are happy customers

Conveniently located and breakfast was included.

The bathroom was a bit small and there was no coffee maker in the room.

I greatly enjoyed staying at the junior suite with a comfortable bed and a view of the St-Lawrence. the location was convenient and excellent, just a 10-15 minute walk from Matane Ferry Terminal. - the hotel is situated near a fantastic seafood restaurant, the sea, and the Port of Matane in an industrial area.

Actually, the room was reasonably large with breakfast. The location was unbeatable, at a walking distance from Matane Ferry Terminal.

Our room was spacious, and we enjoyed having breakfast included; the location was fantastic, close to shops, the city center, and the port.

NIce breakfast, good service, view on the water, quiet.

Small bathroom. No air conditionning. No handy plugings. I ask for a smoking room with 1 bed. HAd a smoking room with 2 beds.

I spent one night only but impressed well by its good location just next to 132 road and good condition inside. If anything to be improved is asked, I really suggest a samll refrigerator to be included on the equipment list.

The room had a comfy bed, a private safe, central heating, and an iron, with a beautiful view of the sea from the window.

Located on Main Highway.heading into town.

Desk clerk advised that noise from highway barely audible due to better quality windows. Did find place noisy as room was facing highway (disappointing).

Clean hotel in a nice building right by an industrial port, the ferry and the Marina. Friendly check-in, friendly employees. Extremely spacious units with a view of the St-Lawrence, a comfortable bed, for instance. The location marvellous and excellent in an industrial commercial area.

It was clean, comfortable and located very close to our destination. It was also easy to find and very near downtown Matane.

We specifically chose this motel over others because of the recommendation you provided from a previous client indicating that breakfast was included. We thought this made it good value for money. In fact, as soon as we had made our booking, your booking confirmation came through saying that breakfast was not included! This was infuriating! Moreover, upon arrival at the motel, we questioned the receptionist about this and were told that they had stopped including breakfast in their price two months earlier! They served a very average get-it-yourself breakfast (they called it "buffet style") which required you to find everything yourself, put your own toast in the toaster and supervise it, while going to the fridge for milk and to investigate whether there was any orange juice today (there wasn't - there was apple, a couple of mixtures, one involving the remains of carrot and mango I believe, and orange drink, not juice; another traveller rejected that too). They did cook the bacon and eggs for you, and they were nice, although by now they were not very hot, as they were cooked as soon as you arrived for breakfast and so were ready before you had finished running around and paying for it all! Getting up and down for forgotten butter for the toast, or to get another coffee, did not make for a relaxing breakfast and I would like to have seen the prices of yogurt, fruit and juice, etc, posted somewhere. They just totalled up what was on your tray. It cost us $17.49 for two breakfasts. Had we stayed longer, we would have gone across the road to the restaurant almost directly opposite to have breakfast there.

The place is quite spacious and offers breakfast, and its central location is near many attractions.
